About Vanessa Ypenburg

Vanessa Ypenburg is an Irish-based visual artist whose work spans a wide range of mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, oil and drawing. Working across both traditional and expressive styles, her practice is driven by a curiosity to explore and push creative boundaries. Inspired by the landscapes, architecture, and atmosphere of Ireland, Vanessa often works both outdoors and in her studio, capturing a sense of place through colour, texture, contrast and mark-making. Her approach varies from loose, intuitive pieces to more detailed and observational work, reflecting her versatility as an artist. Through her exploration of different techniques and materials. Vanessa continues to evolve her style, embracing both structure and spontaneity in her work.
